How to Take Care of Your Skin During Fasting To Avoid Dehydration

There comes a time in the year when we have to fast. Whether it is Ramadan or lent, we take a break from food to get spiritually filled. During this period, our skin can suffer badly if we don’t take care of it.  Dehydration is one of the challenges that come with fasting.  No matter how much we try to avoid crack skins during fasting, if we don’t do something about it, we end up with a bad skin.

We have listed the trick that would hydrate your skin during this period:

  • Take enough water before you start your prayers. This would make up for the lack of fluid your body may experience during your fast.
  • You need enough hydrating fruits to make it. Some of the fruits that you need include cantaloupe, citrus fruits and watermelon. Also, coconut water is amazing.
  • Shower time shouldn’t be neglected during your fast. Make use of milky shower cleansers to moisturize the skin.
  • Shower body milks or oils can be applied after cleaning the body to boast silkiness.

  • Make sure that you reduce your hairs that may need waxing during this period.
  • Don’t forget that a little exfoliation can do you wonders. There are great products that would help you get rid of ingrown hairs and to stimulate the blood.
  • After your shower, add a thick oil to your body moisturizer. You can add two drops of argan or almond oil, mix it with your cream and rub, rub, rub. Try to use products with mild scents as they tend to be more moisturizing and beneficial for your skin.
